Kitchen Helper

The kitchen helper assists with the routine tasks that keep a busy kitchen organized and running smoothly. Duties commonly include washing produce, portioning ingredients, stocking dry and refrigerated supplies, cleaning prep stations, and supporting cooks with simple food preparation. The role may also include sweeping, mopping, taking out waste, and helping maintain sanitary conditions throughout the kitchen and storage areas. A strong work ethic, attention to cleanliness, and the ability to follow directions are essential. Prior kitchen experience is useful, though many employers will train candidates who show reliability and a willingness to learn. Basic food handling and sanitation knowledge is preferred. This work is physically active and can require standing for long periods, lifting supplies, and working near heat, moisture, and noise. The schedule is full time and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on operational needs.
