The Security Guard helps maintain a safe and orderly environment for people, property, and operations at a Manhattan location. Core responsibilities typically include monitoring entrances and exits, observing activity, checking identification or visitor credentials when required, completing routine patrols, reporting incidents, documenting daily activity, and responding calmly to suspicious situations or disturbances. The guard may also assist with access control, enforce site rules, and communicate concerns to supervisors or emergency personnel as needed. Applicants should have basic reading and writing skills, a professional manner, good judgment, and the ability to remain alert during extended periods. Prior security, customer service, or related experience is commonly preferred, along with familiarity using radios, logbooks, or other standard reporting tools. Physical demands are customary and may include standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally intervening in minor physical tasks consistent with post requirements. This is a full-time role with a schedule determined by operational coverage needs and may include evenings, overnights, weekends, or holidays.
