The Moving Helper assists with the safe and efficient movement of household or commercial items for local relocations in Staten Island and surrounding New York City areas. Common responsibilities include carrying boxes and furniture, wrapping and protecting items, loading and unloading trucks, placing belongings in designated rooms, and helping keep equipment organized and work areas clear. The position requires careful attention to instructions, steady teamwork, and respectful handling of customer property. Good basic qualifications include dependability, the ability to lift and carry heavy objects safely, awareness of proper moving techniques, and a willingness to work in varied environments. Experience in moving, warehousing, delivery, or general labor can be beneficial, though some employers will train qualified candidates. Physical demands are customary and may include frequent lifting, climbing stairs, bending, pushing, and working outdoors or in changing weather conditions. The schedule is full time and may include early starts, weekday assignments, and occasional weekend work based on job volume.
