The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact and helps keep daily front office operations organized and professional in a busy Manhattan setting. This role typically involves greeting visitors, answering incoming calls, directing messages, managing basic paperwork, and keeping common work areas orderly. The position may also support appointment scheduling, mail handling, data entry, and coordination with other staff to help ensure a smooth flow of information throughout the day. Strong communication skills, a courteous manner, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm while handling multiple tasks are important. Basic computer proficiency and comfort with standard office equipment are generally expected. This work is usually performed at a front desk or office station and may require sitting for extended periods, occasional standing, and light lifting of office supplies or files. The schedule is full time and may include standard weekday hours depending on operational needs.
